Located in Riga, Latvia, in the centre of the Baltic States, the software and type development company Tilde is the
centre of professional typeface design and localization of the Baltic countries.
Localized
Font Collections

During the six years of our activity we have created a large library of Baltic and Cyrillic typefaces. Our professional typeface designer Gustavs Andrejs Grinbergs has been working on typeface design for more than 25
years and his localized fonts have been highly appraised by Linotype-Hell font experts.

As a result of a contract signed with Bitstream Inc., a new collection of Unicode fonts for Latin-based languages has been created. It currently consists of
220 faces and is growing constanly. The advent of Windows 95 has enabled the use of the most advanced technologies for typeface design that eases multilingual text processing.
Currently
Tilde offers typefaces also for Macintosh and Windows environments for all the Baltic languages (Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Swedish, Finnish, Polish) in Apple CE and Microsoft cp 1257 codepages and and for the Cyrillic languages (Rusian, Serbian, Bulgarian, Macedonian, Byelorussian and Moldavian) in Apple Cyrillic and Microsoft cp
1251 codepages, in PostScript and TrueType formats.
Tilde offers font licensing
opportunities. Save 50-80% of font costs by buying licenses for all
workstations!
As a dealer of Bitstream Inc., Tilde offers Bitstream Barcode and Web font
products to its customers in the Baltics. Contact us for more information or
